Business Updates and Recognition
Road to VR continues to be a completely independent publication with no outside investors. In 2017, we partnered with media company Gamer Network to run our ad operations, but this partnership ended amicably in 2024 when Gamer Network was sold to IGN. We've since returned to managing our ad operations internally, maintaining the same firewall between ads and editorial that has guided us from the very beginning. It's worth noting that Road to VR still doesn't have its own Wikipedia page, which is a bit of a funny detail.
